The 2006 Uplander

We sold my van. It was a good thing but I am still going to miss it. It was just another payment that we can't afford and so it is nice to have that over and done with.

I wish it gave us more financial freedom to be without it, but it didn't make a huge dent in our finances, I guess every bit helps.

The day after we sold the van our alternator went out in the car I drive. We went from 4 running vehicles to 2. Kade had to drive his truck to work a few times so that I could use his commuter car (without power steering) to go into town. If you want a good arm workout drive a vehicle without power steering, you would be amazed at how sore it can make you. :)

For journal purposes here is a picture of my van that is no longer with us.

Our New Blue Cars

I DON'T WANT TO COME ACROSS AS BRAGGING, OH LOOK HOW MANY CARS WE OWN!  THIS IS MAINLY FOR REMEMBERING, KEEPING THINGS STRAIGHT, AND IT IS PART OF OUR UNIQUE LIVES!  If you know Kade, you know he has a new project whenever possible, it is his thing.  I am just the girl that loves him, I want him to have his own things, because I have a lot of half-finished crafts he never complains about. :)

I have decided that I will look at our car dealings as a business.  We don't sell a bunch of cars, but we sell at least 3 a year.  For us it is a little money on the side, as a bonus it is a release for Kade. Being able to sell a car when money is tight has saved our BUTTS more then a few times. We look at them as savings accounts. So, I get extra money, and he gets grown up time...double plus. :)

This summer, I forgot to blog about us selling our 1997 Dodge Intrepid.  I was pretty sad to tell the truth, because it was a large car.  If we went on a trip we took that car because it got about 32 miles a gallon.  It was spacious enough to use with the kids, so if we needed to save some money we would drive that.  It was a really nice car, my favorite was the leather seats, only car we had with leather seats.  I was sad when Kade got an offer on it; he wasn't trying to sell it, it just happened.  But we made a good amount...so I wont complain. I say around, because I don't recall how much in parts we put into it, not enough that I noticed though.

So goodbye, Intrepid, I miss you :)

We have been driving our 1999 Ford Taurus around, we purchased it for 300 in November of 2012.  It needed brakes, and the power steering still doesn't work.  It is probably the most beat up of all the cars we have purchased (dented).  We haven't sold it because the power steering will be a hard fix...who knew?! I know we won't make a lot of money when it's all said and done, but it is Kade's work car and saves us some gas money.

OH YEAH, after Kade wrecked my VW bug he has been on the look for a replacement.  My dream car is a mint green VW beetle, I owned it, now it is gone.  But, he thinks all beetles are the same, they are not, but he is very sweet.  I'm a green lover, so I guess blue comes to a close second.  During 2nd crop of hay this year, Kade traded his dirt bike for this 1974 VW beetle.  Like, who's husband would ever do a thing like that, trade his toy?  But as you saw a few posts ago, he has acquired a new dirt bike....one that was a killer deal.  Anyway, it is cute, and may run someday.

But today we made our way down to Pokie and picked up this little 2003 Saturn Ion 2!  It looks rough on the inside.  It had a broken window so there is water damage, it needs a really really good cleaning...but I'm afraid the stains wont come out.  Anyway, it isn't running, we are waiting on a part.  But for $350, it seems to be a good deal!  I am super excited for this particular car.

Late nights!

I love night time.  I love when my kids are in bed and I can cuddle and eat treats with Kade.  I love, love, love my babies but I spend all day with the young ones.  When Kade gets home all I wanna do is soak up our limited time.  He is more of a turn in early type, unless it is a Saturday night.  I end up spending at most 4 hours a day with the love of my life.

Anyway, I love my alone time.  I watch what I want, do a tiny bit of homework, and play on the internet...what a time suck.  Although, I am always wasting my time, lately I haven't kept up on the blog.  SAD!  But I do always manage to stay up way to long.  I don't want to go to sleep, I want to have fun.

Most days, I feel like my life is on hold. I keep waiting to figure out where we are going to be living in a few months and nothing seems to be working out.  The large home we are in, was just a winter thing and now we are trying to find out what to do next.  Sometimes I wish life was a little easier.  Sure, I learn a lot, but I think it is time for my emotional vacation.  Can I have it easy for a while?  Okay, I will stop this whining, but I hate being in LIMBO!  Part of the problem is there is a small rent selection and everything is super expensive.  :(

I am called to be the relief society chorister, yeah no idea what I am doing.  But thanks to seminary and some choir classes, I am a good faker.

Anyway, on Sunday the 3rd we were at my parents and our cute dog Roxy ran off.  We couldn't find her.  I was super bummed.  A week later I finally got a call that she was safe and sound, she is on my feet right now :)  I was so glad that prayer was answered.

Today marks Kade being at his current job for 9 months (almost a record), and I am proud and pleased with him.  He works hard and provides for our family, what a blessing he is.

He hates when I take pictures of him.  What a handsome man!

Addyson at the park.  She found puddles and was soaked but we had fun.

The rest are from Grandma Kunz's house

VERY orange sunset

Tractor RIDE

Kade and Drake.  I can never get them to both look at me at the same time.

This last picture is of Kade's newest car.  A 74 nova...he thinks it is a cool car.  He told me they are hard to find, but to me it is just another car.  It is funny that we are both into hobbies but I don't care  to know about his projects (I don't understand cars)  and he feels the same way about mine (he doesn't enjoy girly crafts).  This picture makes it look way more yellow then it is.

2012 A Year In Review

At a new year I am always so excited to start fresh, because there always seems to be such negatives, and I want to turn them around.  But every new year it seems that the last year was the worst yet, so some year I hope to look back and say "WOW what a good year"...I honestly can't list off very many positives about 2012, so I am glad to see it gone.

But last year and this year for a Christmas present my Bingham parents ask for a year in review.  So, I thought I would post a version it on here too, even though everything I am about to post is on the blog already, but here is a fast review!

Kade changed jobs again, (JUNE) but this time we moved.  We ended up moving twice!

Blessing!

WE HAVE CHANGED A LOT IN 1 YEAR

We Got a Little Older, No Wiser I Am Afraid

We had stuff that went on

We may never financially recover from my surgery :)  Dumb us, the only one in the family without health insurance had major surgery!  Life goes on, just keep swimming.

We did have some fun though!  I kept busy crafting away.

Kade kept busy with other things

We also worked a little this year.

Kade did his share of mechanic work as well

We are still hard on animals, I didn't even get pictures of all the ones we owned, but here are the ones that stayed around the longest

We still have Roxie!

We celebrated a little, had some holidays.

Been married 3 years.

Oh, and we had a white Christmas!

We had a lot going on, between work, school, two babies, and all the fun in between   I am glad we made it out alive.  How was your year everyone? Hoping 2013 is our lucky year!

30 Days of Thanks Day 3 - Cars

We have always been very blessed with getting cars for decent prices.  I don't know how many times we have purchased a car for under 250, Kade fixes them up and then sells them for a profit.

Anyway today I am thankful for being able to finally sell one of our 8 cars.  We have been needing the extra income and today we sold Kade's red Toyota pickup. He is sad to see it go I think.  But it was a huge blessing. :)

Cars, AGAIN

So sad to report we traded in our Prius.  I will so miss that car and its gas mileage.  But I won't miss the lack of space it gave our growing family.  No, I am not pregnant again, we just decided to get a van, for the DVD player (SUCH A LIFESAVER) :D

Plus Kade has been really wanting a full sized truck for a while, it isn't the prettiest but it is big enough.

We got rid of one car and got two....making it a total of 7 vehicles that we own right now....yeah he promised he would sell a few if we got him a truck.

So, hopefully in a few weeks we will be proud owners of only 3 vehicles, and I sure hope they are all running vehicles...knock on wood.

Summer Heat

Basically our house almost caught on fire today!  OKAY, I am exaggerating.  We own a corner lot, so you can see into your front yard and backyard if you drive or walk by.  This is annoying because if we so much as park in the wrong place in our backyard we get a note from the city saying that you better move it or we will be fined.  DUMB.  This is what we get for living in the city.  ANYWAY.  Today we were cleaning our yard because we had a complaint about some fencing in our yard...to tell you the truth our yard had gotten pretty messy.  With Kade gathering things from peoples homes and him having no time to finish half done projects, it got quite messy.  So, we needed to clean our yard...but I was complaining because I hate being forced to do things....always have always will.  When I was grudgingly cleaning the backyard I noticed our neighbors backyard.  He had this massive stack of firewood that was messy and really old.  I don't think he has used it in the 3 years we have lived here.  I kind of got grumpy because he has a mess too but because it is firewood it can be as messy as he wants.  You are allowed to have firewood in your yard, but not fence posts.

Around noon a neighbor calls me up and said, "hey, did you know there is a fire in your back yard?"  UM WHAT!  The fire inspector declared that it was arson, and that someone perposly set the neihgbors old firewod on fire.  It was old wood, and very dry, plus there is coton in ther air from the trees...so it lit up pretty good.  There were 2 firetrucks at our house.  We share a fence line with this neighbor and it burned up some of our lawn.

This morning we mowed our very long dry grass and weeds.  We put away a lot of wood that was laying on the fence line,  we moved a gas can full of gas off from the fence to the garage.  Who knew that a threat from the city to clean up our lawn was a blessing in disguise?  Okay, so no one knows if it would have burned our house down, but this morning we had really long grass and a lot of flammable things on our fence line that went strait to our home.

No one knows who started the fire, they think maybe some neighborhood kids...all I know is that we are lucky nothing important was burned.

I am bummed I didn't get any firetruck pictures :(

I am grateful that I am blessed and kept out of harms way.  Our family is truely bessed, today could have turned out a lot different if we wouldn't have listend to the city :D

Cars April 2012

Yes we have added some new additions to our car family :D It is just what Kade likes to do. This first one is the only one I am really excited about. It is a 96 Dodge Intrepid. We had a couple in our ward move away. This car wasn't running so we took it off their hands. It looks like all we have to do is replace a plug and it will be good as new! It is soooo nice inside, leather interior, and it has been babied. It is huge inside, now we have two running vehicles that can carry our whole family. This will be helpful when I am at school and Kade needs to go somewhere with the kids. The Prius is my car so Kade is stuck with a two passenger vehicle whenever I am gone.
These other two we have had a while, both not running. We traded a non running van for the car, but we are waiting on a title, so we wont fix it until we have one. The suburban was given to Kade because it seems to have a bad engine, by a brother in law. Too bad Kade has been working to much to find time to work on our CARS!

So now we own a Toyota Prius, Toyota Pickup, Dodge Intrepid, Chevy Camaro, GMC Suburban, and an Oldsmobil Aurora......CRAZY!!! Yeah only like 3 of the 6 run, 50/50 LOL
