FUN

A few things. I have been really busy this weekend with doctors appointments and a craft project. I cannot believe it is already Sunday, I should be sleeping.

We got our taxes back, YAY. And with the money we got we have been having fun. Our living room is transforming. We are in the process of hanging our tv and soon I will be completely happy with my living room. It has changed so much since last year. Pictures will be posted when done.

We got Addyson a crib, so no more cradle (she didn't sleep in it anyway). Now Drake and Addyson have matching cribs and the room is looking cuter, but still a long time before I can decorate. We still need to finish sheet rocking and mudding one wall :( someday my projects will be complete.

We also got a baby play yard. Really it was to block off the dining room for Drake, but it is huge and IDK what our plans are for it now. It looked so much smaller when we purchased it, but once it was home, holy cow. Good ol craigslist.

This week has flown by and I have not had any extra time. AHHH

Saturday morning I headed to Monteview to do a craft with Shyla and Mom B. They signed up to do these cute temple pictures for fifty bucks. I thought what a killer deal. These are normally way expensive at Deseret book. I was way excited with how it turned out. Now I have more decorations to hang. Now looking back I am sad that I didn't sign up to do more, so that I could have given them away as gifts :(

Then Saturday afternoon Kade helped Brad and Nikki move out to Monteview, he works out in Terreton and we hope this cute little house will be a good fit for them.

Keeping busy, but nothing extremely fun.

2 MONTHS

This is really "mother dear" the primary song from the children song book, but I sing it to Addyson like that. We are so glad to have her.

Have we really had her 2 months??? Wow, why do babies grow so fast?

We had a well baby check up on Friday.

She is slowing down in growth, the Dr. was surprised. She went from the 80th percentile clear down to the 40th. Now the Dr. has worried me and I am worried she isn't getting enough to eat. This happened with Drake, and I slowly wasn't able to nurse anymore. He wan't growing, but he is just made smaller. I am hoping everything is okay and that she is just finding her place in the weight area.

Addyson had shots and she did really well getting them, but was fussy the rest of the night. Every time I went to feed her I would bump her leg and she would cry. :( She is doing well, thanks to Tylenol and rest.

She was born 8 #s 11 oz. and is now 11 #s 11 oz. exactly 3 pounds heavier. She was 21 inches long and is now 22.5, and her head was 15inches and is now 16inches.

Her head is still in the 90th percentile...she has a big head, just like Drake.

Addyson now smiles all the time, and she is awake for more of the day. She loves tummy time, where she loves to look up and all around. She grabs my hair always, and is getting less fussy at night. Yay, her colic is starting to subside.

Addy jo, we love you so. I am so glad you are my little angel, so I can kiss on your perfect round cheeks all I want.

I am basically writing just to write. I have been having a very hard time the last few days, sleeping and feeling down. A few things have gone on this week that have changed my emotions. I had a recent Dr. visit, and my favorite high school teacher was arrested.

Everything started on Wednesday. I am sure no one wants to hear about my Dr. Apt, so if it bothers you, skip down to the next paragraph. My OB, Kade, and I have been discussing contraception. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do so that we don't have another baby too soon. There is so many pros and cons to the different stuff out there. It took me a while to decide, but I decided to go with one that works up to five years and that I will have to remove if and when we want to have another baby. When we got home I was talking to a friend who suspects she may be pregnant. I am not sure why it bothered me so much, or why it bugged me enough to write about it, but I am not happy with my decision anymore. The only reason is because it is such an inconvenience to have it removed. We are done having kids for a while, I simply cannot handle more than what we have. But not being able to try and have a baby at any given moment makes me feel like I have had my choice taken away. It was my decision and I shouldn't be upset because I have two beautiful children, and most likely I will be able to have more. I know I am lucky because there are women out there who are not able to have babies, but I think it gave me a little bit of a taste of how it would be if I was told I couldn't have anymore kids.

Later that day, I found out on Facebook that my favorite high school teacher had been arrested for sexual abuse to a student. Seriously??? People were saying awful things about him on facebook and other news forums, never thinking about how his family felt or the terrible things they were going through. These girls were saying things like "he finally got what was coming to him" and "I saw him rub girls shoulders and do very bad stuff" I was amazed at how fast his great reputation got trashed. Okay, to clarify, there were a few people dishing out crap and a bunch of girls and others who defended him. But every time someone defended him a fight would get started on FB, and we all know how annoying that can be. I will wait until the judges decide but, I love this man and would never suspect any such thing from him. I understand that people do things we don't expect, but I just don't buy it. I hope that he is honest and that he will get a fair trail. No matter the outcome, I will always know him as a great man, he was always there for me, and believed that I could do great things. He went the extra mile and was a caring teacher, one that I always trusted, one that I will always call my favorite. I have had a hard time sleeping ever since Wednesday night when I found out. I just keep playing things over in my mind. I just cannot see him doing a thing like this.

Mr. Cox is no longer a high school geometry teacher, but has been a principle at the Jr. High for 2 years. He was arrested at the school and spent the night in jail. On Thursday he was released, to his wife. He is facing 3 counts of felony child abuse to a child under 16. They are saying that he went to the victims home, that things didn't just happen at school. He will have his preliminary trial on March 1st. All I can do is hope and pray for him.

Dryer

Lately we have had friends move to IF who don't have a washing machine.  We have let them use ours, because I can't imagine always using a laundromat ANNOYING!  

Well with our luck, our dryer went out!  WHAT!

Lucky we had money saved to go buy a used set.  We got a used set off craigslist for 200 the night it went out, because I basically do laundry with two babies EVERY day. 

I think we got a pretty good deal, the guy had them in storage, they were hardly used.  He was a single guy who purchased them and then got married.  He said maybe they got 6 months of use...you never know if people are honest.  

They look good though and have worked well, SO FAR SO GOOD!

Puppy...Again

Time just flies. I have already been in school a whole month. I have had a test in every subject. I am passing my classes, but could be doing better. It has been so much harder with two kids, I am not sure why an extra kid puts so much more stress on me but it has.

Addyson is so big, she is six weeks and I can't believe it. She is getting so tall and won’t stop growing. She has been a far chunkier and crankier baby that Drake was, but Drake never cried for anything. Drake was so laid back that he would make any baby look cranky. I am not complaining she eats really good all she wants is to eat. She always wants to be held, and she is a good sleeper and my little family is so blessed.

I feel bad. I don't get near the pictures of Addyson that I should. Sorry little girl, I will try and do better.

Kade finally talked me into a puppy, but really he just decided he couldn't wait any longer and went and got one. She is cute, but I do still not love her being here. We named her Jasmine, and I call her Princess Jasmine...why not right

Superbowl Sunday

On Superbowl Sunday we went to church in Monteview, ID. Brad and Nikki blessed their baby Braelie, I didn't get any pictures :( But it was fun to be with friends and family ALL day. Because Later we went to Blackfoot to watch the game.

Braelie, is the same size as Addyson, and Addyson is 6 weeks younger...I feel like my baby is growing too fast, she is growing faster then everyone else's babies. NO FAIR

We went to Blackfoot to celebrate Trecia's Birthday and to watch the Superbowl. The Patriots played the Giants...Giants won. It was a close game, I didn't pay much attention because I was studying, yes I studied on the Sabbath, I'm going to a fiery place. Maybe next year a team I care about will play...I don't care much for football, but my family does. The team my family cheers for is the Denver Broncos, so by default that is who I cheer for, Go TEBOW!

Oh PLUS Drake now has 4 teeth. On Sunday, he had his two top teeth pop though. Now he has two on top and two on bottom. I will get pictures as soon as he will let me.
