My kids got to see Santa!

Addy wasn't that impressed with Santa, but she tried to unwrap her gift on his lap.

She was pretty stoked with her teddy!

Drake was terrified, yet again.  Last year was the same.  He is never afraid of anyone, unless they wear red and have white beards, I mean that is just untrustworthy right there ;)

Drake got a cool monster-truck, that he slept with on the way home.

I think I will tweak it a bit because it didn't turn out perfect.

 I am making them for my visiting teachers and those I visit teach...so about 4 more to do. 

Drake's 2nd Birthday

What? I have a two year old!  He is so handsome and smart.  My favorite saying of his is,  OH MAN!  He is for sure still an easy kid, he does have his terrible two tantrums, but honestly they are not so bad yet...guess we will wait and see.  I already posted such cute pictures of Drake and him eating some cake, so I will just post pictures of him.  Some may be duplicates, it is hard for me to keep up with the pictures I post LOL. Most of them are when I tried to get a good picture for grandparents for Christmas, not an easy task...the last one was the one we ended up giving out.

At his checkup he weighed 25 pounds 14 ounces, and he was 33.5 inches long.  They didn't write down his head so I guess I wont put that down.  :)

When I was at the appointment they drew extra blood because of his height (he is super short) they thought he may have a thyroid problem...but they called us and said they looked at the chart wrong and that he is short but not abnormally like they thought???? He tested good on his iron, which they were also worried about because he is a milkaholic....wont eat anything but milk.  That is also normal and he will grow out of it. She basically told me to quit worrying and that I am doing great, glad to hear!  She didn't bug me about his bottle or tell me I need to do a list of things, just that the kid looks healthy and that things will work out.

We got him mega Legos for Christmas, he loves to build and knock down.
He also loves to throw everything and anything, he tends to hit me in the head with numerous things.  His bottle, his toys, his shoes, anything he is holding he throws at your head.
He has the cutest run, that I still have not videoed, he runs on his toes, often in place.  He is very cute.
He has been doing this for a long time, but he loves to climb onto any chair that I am about to sit on.  So, if I am crouching to sit on the couch he will quickly climb on the couch and sit right where I was going to??? He thinks it is so funny, it is irritating, lol.
He still loves to take off his cloths, talks non stop (gibberish), loves to write on the wall.

He is a character, he can count to ten, but you may or may not understand it.
He knows his animal sounds, and who his aunt Annie is.
He loves the four-wheeler  and Timmy time is a new favorite show, they don't talk it is purely animals and their sounds, both kids think its amazing.
He loves to name body parts when he is being held because he can poke you in the eye and laugh.

He is so smart and has a huge personality.  WOW, that was long.  Anyway, we love you Drake, even when you tease mommy.

Thanksgiving Nov 22, 2012

We went to Blackfoot and celebrated Thanksgiving with my family.  Lots of food and fun.  We spent the night Wednesday to Thursday, and I didn't get much sleep.  My kids are not the greatest at sleeping anyplace but their own beds.

Drakes hair had gotten really long, I don't really like to cut hair.  I rather not make my kid look funny, so Kade does the hair cuts.  He had not gotten to Drakes in a long time, like 5 months, so while we were with family I had Annie cut his hair.  Kade was grumpy about it, because it is "his" job, but I guess I am impatient and was sick of Drakes hair hanging over his ears.  I wish we cut it before family pictures, because in most of them you can tell his hair is hanging over his ears.  Now he is cute and has less hair.  Thanks again Annie for being awesome and giving Drake a haircut.

My mom did a great job of entertaining Drake, he was laughing and having fun.  He is pretty awesome looking with his hair shorter. 

We spent most of Thanksgiving at my parents then headed back to our house.  We went to Kade's parents so that the girls could figure out our plan for black Friday, we looked at ads and went home to get a few hours of sleep before I got to wake up and go shopping.  It was a great holiday!

Family Pictures Dec 2012!

I love picture posts, LOL.

We took family pictures! I am not in love with any full family pictures, but some of the other ones look great!  It was a mini session, and I didn't pay much so it was a good deal.  

Did I mention it was the coldest day of the year? Well it was, there was snow and Drake was so mad at me...Addyson didn't seem to mind much.

The thing I don't love is how our colors turned out.  It looks like Kade is wearing read, and I am in purple.  It was orange and maroon... I really do know how to match!

Crafty Gifts

A while ago my gypsy that went with my cricut died :(  I have been unable to do much without it.  With some of my biggest loser money, I purchased another program to help run my cricut.  I have been crafting a little lately...mostly because of the birthdays and Christmas that is coming up.
These are some of the fun things I have done.

I forgot to add, I purchased the above vinyl from fingersnapper.com (she is an Idaho Falls local lady and you have the option to just pick it up at her house! NO SHIPPING)

and I just put it on a frame, with scrapbook paper behind.  

Although I could easily make something very similar.

And this is a Christmas present I just finished for the Black's I am so excited to give it to them....shhhh don't tell :)  She is very western, so I hope she likes it.  Now that it is done, I wish I would have done it really big...but it looks great no matter how small 8x10

30 Days of Thanks Day 30 - My Savior

 Without the Savior nothing would be as it is.  I am blessed to know that he gave his life so that I can live again.  He sacrificed everything, for each and every one of us.  What a selfless act, I strive to be the best I can, I hope to become more like him.  A wonderful brother who loves us, and I feel his love daily, because I am so blessed.

As Christmas is fast approaching  I am challenging us to keep Christ in Christmas, that is what it is all about.

I love Mary, and Baby Jesus pictures, makes me think of my own Christmas babies.  Having an infant in your home is such a blessing and the closest feeling to heaven.  When I can reflect on their births, I can only imagine the faith Mary and Joseph had to have to bring that perfect baby into the world.  I would be so scared, knowing the son of god was being placed in your care.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, let us enjoy the season!
