7.18.15

We had a fun Saturday! We decided to hit up Atomic Days in Arco, Idaho. The kids LOVED the long parade....they each gathered a bag of candy each!

The kids didn't like it too much when water was squirted at us and there was a lot of that!

For the first time in a long time I noticed an age difference with my kids. Drake really understood racing for the candy and Addyson, even though she is competitive, still needed help finding the candy and picking it up in time.

At one point a plane flew over head and dropped ping pong balls...my kids were in awe!!!

The fun didn't end there! I got to participate in my 2nd 10K!  Where I enjoyed myself so much! It was overcast, 70°, and it even sprinkled a little bit. I felt amazing until mile 5 where I started getting tired.

You see that pretty Ford?!? He followed me for over an hour at 5mph or less. Yup, I was DEAD last and had my own personal cheerleader! I found it quite amusing, I hope he enjoyed my dancing at mile 4, which probably was the reason I got so tired at mile 5. :)

Before you get embarrassed for knowing the girl who came in last, know that there were only 5 people who even ran the 10K. With this fun run they had a lot of participants, and like any other race I've been to, they start the 5K and 10K together so you don't know who is running what until 1.5miles when the 5K and the 10K split.

Because there were only 5 of us and only 2 of us were women, we all placed and all got medals.

Kade forgot to take pictures and I forgot to remind him.  So I tried to get one by the finish sign but they were taking it down by the time I got my medal. So the finish line will have to do :)

Later that night Kade, Lex, and I went to a car race in Pocatello with Jake and Trecia. It was sponsors night and PRB OIL sponsors one of the racers at the track. So the boys got in free and wanted to go. It was surprisingly fun.

Look how cute we are! I hope everyone else had an enjoyable weekend.

Dinner and a Movie

Kade is so great at making sure we do something together, alone, every once in a while.  We don't go on official dates a lot because of the drive, but we still have our alone time and he makes sure that it happens.  All growing up, I remember that my parents never quit dating and they still do.

Although I didn't accomplish much this spring break, we did go to town on a date.  We watched Need for Speed, and it was a wonderfully intense movie, I enjoyed how clean they kept it.  But my favorite part was how Kade came home early for work with everything worked out, it was a  surprise date.

I made him take a picture together before we left, it was mighty windy, and this was the only one that I liked.

3 Year Anniversary

Today marks 3 years.  I love my husband, he is awesome.

We went out to eat at Wingers, I really like that place.  We had a fun time, ate too much, went to the temple, and watched the new Twilight movie.  I had a great time.  I cannot believe it has already been 3 years!  3 down, forever and ever to go :) Love you Mr. Kade.

Date Night

This date night started off as work.  Kade asked if I would help him take pictures so he could get off of work sooner.  We asked my mom to watch the kids and we headed to Pokie to work.  After we got done Kade took me to dinner, and I was excited to go to a place my family visited a lot when we lived there.  I lived in Chubbuck until I was 14, so I have some preferences when it comes to restaurants.

I made Kade take us to Johnny B Goodes.  It is a 50's style restaurant, a burger joint.  To me it is fun to escape and go to a different time.  I love this place because it is so cute and the food is super good, especially their milkshakes.

It was a fun time.  There is a restaurant in Idaho Falls called Dixie's Dinner and it is also 50's style and really cute.  Kade and I have been there a few times and it reminded me of this place.

Hunger Games

I have read all of the books, and Kade has even read the first one. I kept calling in on the radio station hoping to score free tickets...no luck. I told Kade I rather not spend a lot of money going to a movie and that I rather wait till it came out at the cheap theater. Kade must have been excited for the movie because he didn't listen to me.

On Friday night at 9:45 we went to Edwards and watched The Hunger Games, it was our first date in 4 months... I'm not so sure you could call it a date, I took Addyson with us, no busy Drake tho. But we went out to Carl's Jr. I have never been before, it was yummy, the burger was too big to finish. Yeah, most of you would roll your eyes at my date night, but hey we are poor LOL.

The movie was great, but I wonder if people who didn't read the books would understand...they left out tonz of info.

I enjoyed myself and I am excited for the next movie...

Ready for the MOVIE. If you look at Kade's Face it looks dirty on his upper lip...no it isn't dirt it his him trying to grow facial hair. On leap day, Kade informed me he wasn't going to shave for a whole year...a whole month later that is all he has, BAHAHA. You can't even tell :D I think he will give up....I hope he gives up, it is a nasty stash.

Thanks Kade, I am glad you forced me to go on a date with you...even if I got after you for it. I really appreciate all you do for me, I needed a break from life. Thanks again, remember I love you so much.

ENGAGED!

So much has happened I can't even explain it all. I hope that I can remember all the hairy details because I am so excited and so very happy!  I will start with Saturday...I met Kade in Idaho falls and he took me to his house so that we could start our date.  He gave me some beautiful roses, that were the perfect shade of pink So bright and beautiful.

Mr. Kade and I arrived at his parents’ house and were greeted by his sister Steph and her two kids Morgan and Mitch.  They are such dolls, we just kind of waited around not doing much I think he was trying to make me impatient.   Of course it worked...you see I knew that he was planning on proposing soon and I was hoping that it would be that day, but I didn't know for sure.  The most frustrating part about everything was that he wouldn’t tell me what he had planned for the date...I was clueless.

So after we chilled at his house for a while he told me we were going to get in his truck and go for an adventure...now his four-wheeler was in the back of his pickup bed so I knew exactly where we were going.

Now if you don't remember our first date was a four-wheeling trip and we went on a double date.  The other couple kept stopping and kissing, and it was awkward because me and Kade hardly knew each other.  But we had fun and we laughed and smiled the whole time and I have never had so much fun in my life.  On the way back off the mountain we passed a little, old, abandoned cabin and there wasn't much left of it.
As we drove by it I had an idea to have some fun I thought we would play make believe.  I said look honey it’s our house.  I knew Kade was some kind of special when he looked at me and said yes it is...but it needs a little more work before we can move in.  He made me feel all giddy and like a little girl on our first date and it had been so long since I felt that way.

During our whole 2 months of dating Kade continued to talk about our cabin, it’s even mentioned in our love story.  Anyways as we started driving I knew exactly where he was going to propose...if he was even going to. :D  So I asked him if we were going to visit our cabin and he smiled n said I would have to wait and see.

SO we went on a four-wheeler ride, and it felt like forever.  He kept stopping different places, and I thought every time we stopped that he was going to pop the question but every time he just got back on and kept driving.

We finally made it to our destination and he hadn’t said anything.  We stopped at our cabin and ate some goodies!  We then set up our cameras and took some pictures of us with our cabin it was so cute.

After we took pictures we were walking around the cabin and Kade was behind me and I stopped walking to look at something.  Anyways Kade said "Steph I need to ask you a question." and instead of me stopping and letting him I started walking away.  He yelled common now don't make this awkward! HAHAHA.  Anyways I turned around and he was on one knee and I walked up to him.  He said "Stephanie Kunz, will you marry me?"  I of course said yes without hesitation.  He then opened the ring box and told me I couldn’t be mad at him because the ring I had picked out wasn't done at the jeweler.  He then slipped a little ring on my finger. :D

So there is my fake ring.  We left the mountain and told our families by the end of the day we were pooped!  We were so tired that Kade made us mac and cheese with a candle lit dinner. :D
I am so happy to have Mr. Kade in my life.  We will be married on the 20th of November!  I am preparing to go to the temple for the first time and I am so excited!  He is the love of my life and perfect and wonderful and I am so lucky!

Here is the real one!

Picking out a Ring

YEAH!  This might have been the most awkward date in history.  Kade took me to some jewelers and the spotlight was all on me.  I had to sit and try on jewelry.  Okay, it was fun, but I didn't know what to pick.  I didn't want to break the bank, but he wanted me to get what I wanted.  So, I chose a pretty big rock, but not one as big as I would really want.  I mean, I want a rock that will sink me if I swim, HAHA.

Anyway this is what it looks like.

Mine is white gold, but you can see it better in the gold I think.  You can find it in his collection, so maybe someone else will have a ring like mine, but I can always dream of it being 1 of a kind.

I picked it at Farrs Jewelers, and they said it is a one of a kind ring.  John Bagley is the designer and they said no one else will have this ring by him...IDK how true that is but it is cool.  My favorite feature is that it is flat on the bottom so it wont roll on me.  Oh, it is super pretty too!  It is the clearest diamond you can find, and it is a 3/4 carat, so an okay size. :D

Dinner Date

My week has been a rather dull one; I pretty much do the same thing every day.  I go to work in the morning and after I wait for my man to get off work, and then i chill with him.  Of course it’s not dull at all with Mr. Kade around.  He sure knows how to make anything boring and simple really, really interesting. On Monday we ended up going to watch the movie wolverine and it was just a plain old date, but being with Kade always makes it fun and exciting.  Anyways I didn’t end up getting home till like 3 which is later than normal, but I love spending every moment possible with him.

I found out I was in the running for some college money, and so today I am going to meet with someone about it.  Hopefully I can get a little aid in college this semester.  If not I don’t know if I will want to even start school.  Then I got a call and I was super excited to find out I have a job interview at a nursing home.  Hopefully I can get a CNA job, that way I will be a better candidate for my Nursing program that I will be applying for soon.  Anyways after work I went and chilled at Annie's apartment, she fed me dinner and I watched TV with her and her HUBBY.  I was there waiting for Mr. Kade to give me a holla.  Anyways he did about 7:50 and I went to meet him.

We got to his house and he told me that we were going to make dinner for his parents.  This totally freaked me out because I am not the best cook, I mean I can follow some directions, but I totally thought I was going to screw something up.  I didn’t want to burn the house down, or have a major cooking accident.  We did end up making pea soup and it was a blast.  Kade acts like he is a little kid, everything is so new and exciting for him.  He has to touch everything, and help with everything.  It totally makes me smile.  And of course where there is flour there is trouble.  I think there ended up being more flour on my face than anywhere else.  I too had my revenge!  No one throws flour in my face and gets away with it!  So Mr. Kade, his dad, and I ate dinner.  Mr. Kade’s mom was working late.  She works at the school and school started today so she was there till 11 getting everything ready.  So me and Mr. Kade decided we would stop by and say hi to her while she was working, and we took her a little treat.  Once we were there she put us to work, delivering stuff, moving things around, and fun fun cleaning.  But I am sure we helped her speed things up quite a bit.  After Mr. Kade took me to my car and I began my long journey home! :D

Every day is an adventure!  I’m so happy to have Mr. Kade in my life.

Almost Ring Shoping

I had to have some hardcore therapy from my father today after my date with Kade.  After all I have only been dating him 2 weeks.  He took me to the mall and as soon as I realized he wanted me to ring shop, I stopped DEAD in my tracks.  He was literally trying to drag me.  I sat down on a couch and wouldn't budge.  We finally left because I had promised Wray I would watch my nieces and nephew.

While babysitting, we were watching Mulan 2 and the same thing was happening to her.  Her boy was trying to propose, but she was thinking it was too soon.

I guess when you know, you know.  I have no question whether I should marry Kade, I just don't like the way i t looks.  After all, I am still kind of writing Troy.  I don't know how to break it to him.  My family has only met him once...so I know how they would feel about me marrying so quickly.

When I got home, I talked to my dad about it.  Can I just say he is amazing.  Not only have I always been a daddy's girl, but he has always had a soft-spot for his girls.  He always treats us like princess.  I told him Kade was getting pretty serious and that he wanted me to pick out rings!  My dad comforted me and asked how long I had known Kade?  I told him years, but I have only dated him for a little bit.  My dad said, see you have known him a long time, so don't be so gushy.  I think my dad could see how happy Kade was making me.  My dad has seen some of the worst depression spells from me.  He let me know that he was okay with me marrying him, and that he thought if we wanted to get married there is no reason to wait very long.

Did I mention my dad has been a bishop twice?  He has also been in the stake presidency, so I don't take his opinion lightly.  He said, "if you know you want to marry Kade, do it as soon as possible.  Waiting only gets people into trouble."  He also informed me that waiting is really hard and it only gets harder.

So with my dads blessing, I think sometime we will actually go ring shopping...but I am going to make him wait at least 2 more weeks.  That way I can say we dated a month, LOL.

3rd Date/1st Kiss

This was our third official date!  Kade took his sisters car to get fixed because it broke down, on his way home from Utah, he stopped in my apartment in Shelley.

We made cinimon rolls, and there was a big mess of flour in our hair and on the floor.

We sat under the stars and talked for hours, I told him I was writing a guy in the army.  He basically told me that I was going to need to break up with him, I agreed.  I had already realized that I was head over heals for Mr. Kade.

We watched the sun rise, and ate breakfast up in the hills that day.  The windmills were a sight to see, now they are everywhere.

He told me he loved me and then kissed me in his mothers blue van.  It was perfect, and I knew it would be my last first kiss.

First Date

I went on a date with Kade Bingham,  it was a fun day.
We went four wheeling, and he even let me drive.
While he was driving I was to afraid to put my arms around him, he made me though I think he was uncomfortable.
The other couple we went with, made out the whole time HAHA.
I had to wear Richard's tennis shoes because all I had was flip flops.
We had a lot of fun.
He just got back from a mission.
He didn't freak out about my arm, yes I had to tell him, the stitches are HUGE.
He didn't want the date to end so...
We watched prince Caspian
We ate at Ikes for lunch.
I met his parents and ate dinner with them, hamburgers and fries yumm.
I am thinking he wont ask me out again, because he didn't act like he interested in me, I think he just needed a date.
But I guess we will see.
