Hard times

I feel like I complain too much!  The last few weeks have been really hard on our family.  I am so lucky that Kade and Drake have not been sick (knock on wood).  After I had surgery, like a few days after, Addyson wouldn't sleep.  She would cry and fever...some of 102.  Once I got her to the Dr. they told me it was an ear infection, but when I went back for her 9 month check up we found that she had hand, foot, and mouth.  That is what was causing her fevers.  It is only supposed to last 10 days but it was a virus that you had to fight through.  I blame my weak immunity on my surgery, because exactly a week ago I started running a fever of 102.  Most adults don't get this sick from hand, foot, and mouth...but I was weakened    I kept this fever all week.  If i didn't constantly take ibuprofen and Tylenol my fever would come back strong, I would get chills and i was unable to function.

So, thank you all who have helped babysit and take care of me and my kids.

When Addyson was still sick, she would scream all night for the week and a half and you had to FORCE her to take a bottle.  She would cry and cry and only drink a little.  I knew she was starving and she had sores all over her mouth so I figured it hurt....Now i know how much it really hurt.

Yes, I will admit this is one of the worst sicknesses ever, probably because it doesn't want to end.  I am hungry all the time, so I am also grumpy.  I can't swallow at all hardly because my throat is so swollen.  In the last two weeks I have lost over ten pounds!  In a way it is cool, because since I had Addy I have not been able to lose ANY weight.  But another part of me misses food and water so much.  I feel like I am starving to death.  And it hurts to talk even.  I am thinking this is going away but this morning I found 2 more sores on my lips...so who knows.  As long as the ones on my tongue and throat go away I will be able to eat at least.

I now know how much I always took my health for granted.  This family has not had much sleep the last few weeks...I hope things start to look up.

Just remember, ALWAYS wash your hands :D
