Baby Gates, TAXES
Although we have failed to purchase legit baby proofing items we have gotten by with random things. Whatever works right? I did buy one big ticket item. We got a baby play yard. I didn't buy it with intentions to lock my kid in a big cage, but to use it as a baby-gate. My living room is the only room that has nice flooring that is cleaned the most. The kid's toys are in there along with the TV to keep me entertained. To keep my kids occupied while doing homework I needed them in one room...so we got a pen and turned it into a gate. It is great because you can make it whatever size you want and there is an actual door (it is a pain to open). But I paid 50 bucks for this pen on craigslist, it is originally over 100 because there were 4 extra panels because the original owner wanted a super huge baby play-yard. She used it once, and it was practically bran new but have the price SCORE! On top of that she gave me a free baby-gate for a regular door...so our whole house is basically gated off. I love when I can save money. :D On the downside I still need to buy other things to keep kids out of the toilet and lower cupboards. It is always something :D
