Memorial Day 2014

Thanks to the long weekend, Kade actually had a full 2 days off.  My sisters invited us to go four wheeling. We went last year, and had a lot of fun.

Kade borrowed a trailer and we were on our way. Apart from sorting out some fraudulent charges on our card we had a pretty good drive down.

The kids even enjoyed themselves on the long ride.

A huge shout out to my mom, for watching the kids, thanks mom!

We went on a long ride. I think it was four hours long. We were covered in dust, from head to toe. Almost everyone got sunburned as well. We certainly played hard and you could tell by the way we looked that it was a good day.

Color vibe

Today I participated in a 5K. Honestly, it would have been more fun with friends or family there to hang with. I regret not taking the kids like I had initially planned, they would have loved it.  All in all it was an excuse to be active and a way to try and stay active. But for my first fun run/walk it went pretty well.

Most peoples faces we're covered in color, I must not have acted crazy enough or something cuz I only had a few spots. I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

Haircut

There is something about a haircut that makes any little boy look older and more handsome. :)

I have serious mom pride.

Wednesday Night Boating

Tonight, we decided to take our boat out for a spin.  But Kade couldn't get (something or other) fixed on it....yeah I have no idea what was wrong.  :D   Did you know we have a boat?  It is a beautiful seventy-something yellow color...don't know how old it is but it's safe to say it isn't worth a whole lot.  We scored it last year, for practically nothing, and Kade got it running right as Mud Lake started getting too dirty for comfort.  We never got to take it out last year, and he has been itching to, but it just hasn't happened.

He arranged for his buddy to take his boat out at the same time, in case our boat got stranded.  But because we didn't get ours where Kade wanted, we decided to just all go together on one boat.

It wasn't long before Kade's buddies boat started smoking, and we were lucky to make it back without a fire, sinking, or paddling to the dock.  On the bright side, we all smelled like exhaust by the time we were done.  Seriously, I think we have the worst luck ever!  It will make a good story and the kids had fun, because they weren't stressing about making it back to the truck.

I decided that through all our bad luck, to just keep smiling.  Because there is no point in all of us being stressed/worried.  I had a comforting feeling the entire time, I knew that we would be okay, I knew the boat would make it.  The men were stressed, but the women were easily chatting away, trying to keep the kids from jumping in the water ;)

Enjoy these grainy/blurryish pictures from my cheap camera.

Babysitting Miss A

On the way to watch my niece this morning I had to wait for sheep to cross the road...talk about a long wait.  There were so many, I was sure they would make me late, they did.

Amber was so much fun today, sometimes she is sad when I watch her.  Today went perfect.  She played with my kids so well, plus my kids didn't make her cry once, it gave me confidence that we will be able to handle three kiddos someday soon.

We decided to take a selfie.

I see so much of Ean in her, but lots of Martin as well.  Such a good mix of her mom and dad.

One more selfie before we go :)

May 2014 Update

I feel like I have totally fallen out of the digital/social world as of late.  Maybe because we just haven't been up to much...

I mean, I have been busy, we just haven't done anything exciting enough to writing about.  In the last week I have shot 2 weddings and so I have photos to edit up to my eyeballs.  Not to mention the one I have the Saturday after next.  I feel completely overwhelmed but it is a good thing, it is keeping me busy.

Finals are this week, and I am really nervous about my math final.  I am hoping for B's in both of these classes.  Finding time to drive down to class and do homework was near impossible with life this semester.  It was hard, I blame this mostly on me just wanting to be done with school....and the fact that I feel chronically fatigued.

I officially have signed up for a 5K, although I won't be in good enough shape to run it, I just need a goal to keep me active at this point.  Kade was going to do it with me, but the races are always on a Saturday and he has a hard time getting work off on Saturdays.  At this point I am trying to decide if I should take the kids or not...

Our dog crazy Cora, who is the best walking buddy ever.  Don't you love my matching outfit??? ;)

I haven't run much since junior year of high school and I wanted to get back into it, but having kids has made this process harder on my body then I thought.  I also get discouraged because exercising was never this hard before, it makes me want to quit most days.  On the bright side Monteview always has pretty sunsets to look at, I wish my phone would cooperate so I could share a picture with you sometime.  By the time I get back home to a working camera the color isn't as impressive, here is the end of one....
Isn't God great?  Such amazing color, I love how pretty it is here.

I have gained some weight and I have had a hard time controlling how much I eat after I walk/workout (whatever you call it).  Easter was hard on me, I haven't been able to control the candy binges.  So, this month I am cutting out my sweets after dinner, or at least that is my goal for now.  Sweets after dinner is my weakness, I can go a whole day without thinking about sugar, until it gets dark.  I can have natural sugars like fruits, but no candy or ice cream for me.  May is going to be a long month.

My kids are growing and all looking healthy, Drake has been doing a screaming phase that makes your ears hurt. He discovered that he can make a really loud noise and just repeats.  Addyson, has been herself, ruling the roost. She is really into doing things her way, dressing herself, getting into the car, and it takes a LONG time and a lot of waiting on my part.

Sunday at G&G Kunz's

As for next time, I will catch us up on all of Kade's projects.  He has kept busy, and is excited for warmer weather.
