I really can't believe I have been a mom for two and a half years. I remember his labor and delivery like it was yesterday, it was so difficult and he was such a handsome baby (so worth it). It just doesn't feel possible that he is so big. It makes me a little sad that my kids are no longer considered babies, but toddlers. What can I say, Drake is so awesome and I love being his mom. He has been such an easy child so far. I know to expect the worst for later on because he is so easy as a baby ;)
He still doesn't eat so great, he rather not, but he is okay. I worry about his height the most though. He is on the 15th percentile for height. He is very much on the short side. He is still wearing 18 month clothes...although he is slowly getting to big for his 18 month pants.
He loves anything with wheels and likes to sleep with a toy. Most of the time it is his four-wheeler, or a truck he is favoring that day. He also loves the show Car's right now (Mater) so he really favors his car pajamas and his car blanket.
I am awful at getting video, but he still runs on his tippy toes and it is so cute. He will walk down the stairs now, instead of crawling. He is learning everyone's names slowly...but he often asks to visit aunt Annie and Trecia. When we get in the car he always declares where he would like to go. TO GRANDPAS? TO ANNIES? TO PAULS? TO RECIAS (Trecia's)? When I say no to his questions/demands he often gets sad and fake cries.
He is everyone's friend, unless he is afraid you will take his toy. Leaving him with people is no problem he loves everyone and just wants to play (outside mostly).
He knows what car is mine, we have mommies car, and daddies truck. He also knows grandpa's truck (it is big and yellow and hard to miss) And when I say we are going in the car he will ask me which one, mommies car? Daddies truck?. One time, Brad and Nikki were using our van and we were using their truck when ours was broke down. Drake cried for a half an hour because they took mommies van. Like, total tantrum, someone took my toys, fit. I couldn't help but laugh. He was absolutely worried that it wasn't coming back.
He pretends to snore, cough, cry, laugh, sneeze, and they are all so funny. He likes to mimic things I say, like a recording. When I get grumpy at Kade and say KADE in a certain tone he will repeat me. He will now get upset with his cousins and say their name repeated by 1,2,3. He does this because their mom will say their name and count when they are in trouble. IT IS FUNNY. He also copies things like funny faces
When we get done singing songs he will yell, YAY and clap. He often does this after a hymn in sacrament and I can't help but giggle.
He loves to put on his own shoes and often gets them on the wrong foot. He has stopped undressing himself so much. But he will tell me if he is poopy or wet, and he will ask for a bath. Things are yucky and he hates to be wet, sticky, or dirty.
He sings. You can catch him singing all of the words to old McDonald. Thanks to nursery he loves ring around the rosies and can sing a few primary songs. He knows Jesus and the temple and I know he is smart.
He sings the ABC's, knows a square triangle and circle, knows a few colors, and can count to 12.
As of now I can't think of more. But he is so much fun and we love him so much. And we are very lucky to have a healthy, happy boy, that is so handsome.
As of now he is 34.5 inches tall and weighs 28 pounds just 2 inches taller then his sister.
Because of this busy month I have really been slacking in pictures
