Our Little Peanut
So today we got to see our baby for the first time! It was the best experience ever! I got to see my baby wiggle and even though baby is so small I am so in love. We had this ultrasound to see how far along I really am! The doctor thought we were off on the due date, but it turns out we were one day off. Our new due date is Dec 3, 2010. Anyways everything looks healthy and good for now! The ultrasound technician called our baby a little peanut, so I thought it would be a good nickname for now.

1st Doctors Appointment
Today was both terrifying and fulfilling! I had my first appointment with Dr. Hall. He is a super nice guy and I am glad I chose to go to him. Anyways, I had my first checkup and it was a scary thing for me. I made Kade come to hold my hand. After I got checked out, blood drawn, and everything else you can think of, the doctor found the baby's heartbeat. It was so fast and so cool! I couldn't help but cry. For the first time I had REAL proof that there was a tiny miracle growing in my belly! I will always cherish this memory because it was truly one of the best things I have experienced. I am so excited to see what my baby looks like, we scheduled an ultrasound for tomorrow to see how far along I am! SO MUCH EXCITEMENT IN ONE DAY!!!

Wacky Weekends
Kade and I had this whole weekend planned out. We were going to leave Friday night and head down to Utah, visit his sister Stephanie down there, hang out on Saturday and leave that night. Well plans never go as planed. Instead I was put on call for Saturday, so we couldn't leave that night. And we ended up not going to Utah at all. :( We of course will make it eventually.
I ended up working a couple hours on Saturday, and we decided since we weren't going out of town we might as well plan some fun for the day. Well it was my mothers birthday, the big 50. Kade and I had been putting a present together all week. We had purchased a big picture frame to put a poster size picture of the family in. Anyways Saturday morning we were putting it all together and the glass in the frame BROKE! So we didn't even end up giving her her gift. LOL, it was one of those days I guess. Anyways we headed down to Blackfoot late and thought that we would get there about the time they were finishing eating. WRONG again. We got there and everyone was out back trying to brand the new calfs. It ended up being a big fiasco, the cows wouldn't go through the shoot, Wray and Richard ended up in a wrestling match, and by the end of the day everyone was covered in manure and bruises and those dang cows still weren't branded.
Anyways during the cow madness Kade and I decided we would take Oakley and Kennedy for a ride in the "COOL" Car. We listened to Disney songs and went on some tickle hills. By the end of the ride though the girls were tuckered out and asleep in the back.
We ate hamburgers and homemade french fries for lunch and it was yummy. We sang happy birthday to grandma and Kade and I RAN out the door!
Kade had made plans with his friends and we didn't know it would interfere with my moms birthday, but Kade isn't one to back out after a commitment, so we made our way up to Green canyon. We ended up going with two other couples and we were in a pickup truck. SO Kade was in the front seat with Brand and Nicky and I was in the back with two ppl I don't know. LOL
As soon as we got up there the beautiful windy day changed to a depressing snowy one.
We played in the pool for a while, during that time Kade and I went outside to the hot pool and it was snowing hard. But it was big flakes and they were beautiful. Sitting in the hot tub with cold flakes landing on your back was an AMAZING feeling. It was one of those magical moments where i realized how wonderful God and his creations are.
After hours of fun we loaded up back in the truck, this time i got to sit next to my hubby, i wasn't going to settle for anything less :D We ended up driving home in a white out, i was griping Kades leg the whole time. It was scary i was praying because i didn't think we would make it outta there alive. We sure did though and we went to dinner at Applebees, had a filling time and made it home where we crashed! It was a long eventful day. I love you Kade and all the adventures you take me on.

Nothin new under the moon
Okay well I guess that isn't entirely true. Kade is working for Wray at Platinum Satellite, and I am working as a teller for Zions Bank. I am not a regular one though, I am a teller that travels to and from the different branches. :D We are loving life and are terribly happy.
Last week a very exciting thing took place. We purchased my dream car. A VW Beetle, a green one to be exact. It is beautiful, and I love it. Well I mean I still am getting use to a stick shift. Kade loves cruising up and down the road like a race car driver. He is so cute!
We went to Trecia's track meet in Firth today and my nieces were both there. They were so adorable, as always. When i showed them our bug they both wanted to jump right in it and go for a ride. They unfortunately had to leave pretty quick, so they didn't get to today. Oakley was very sad, she didn't want to get out of the car, and when she did she walked with her head down all the way back to her parents car. :( She will get her chance.
It is hard keeping on top of this blog because I feel like nothing exciting goes on in my life. But we do have some more tear down pictures of our house. Its kinda sad. We keep pulling stuff off but never putting anything back up.
So we have half a wall torn down in the kitchen, the carpet is out, and we are taking down paneling and wallpaper in the front room and dining room.

Two Pink Lines
Okay so Yesterday being April Fools Day we decided we would play a little prank on Wray and Cortnie. We texted them and told them we were pregnant. Of course we texted them a few minutes after they promised they wouldn't tell anyone, saying APRIL FOOLS!!! I think that Wray and Cortney still thought I was pregnant and just wouldn't share the news. Later that night Kade handed me a pregnancy test (we got it at the dollar store a couple months ago when we thought I might be pregnant). Kade said " wouldn't it be funny if you actually were pregnant???" So I took the test and being a dollar store test there were 2 pink lines, but one wasn't very visible. I didn't think I was pregnant because it didn't look like there were really two lines. Kade disagreed with me and informed me that we were going to get another test tomorrow and I would be proven wrong.
So today we picked up a test, Kade ended up going to work for Wray. I stayed home, I didn't have work. I ended up taking the test and drum roll...there really were 2 pink lines. I texted Kade and told him I had the results and that he had to wait to get home to find out. I think that was a mean thing to do looking back. He told me that it was torture driving home! We are both really excited to be parents. I am only 4 weeks along...so we have a long way to go. A whole 8+ more months to go.
To tell you the truth though. It hasn't sunk in! I don't feel pregnant. Some people have told me that you just know. I don't feel a bit different and it's really hard for me. I just wanna feel like a mom I guess. Soon enough I am sure. Well that's our exciting NEWS and you can even look at the PEE stick picture. HEHE

Change is GooD
Well I have not been very good at posting the happenings of our lives. Mostly because not much has changed. Kade and I have been focusing on finding a new job closer to home. We are so grateful that God has given us the opportunity to work at the willows, but being closer to home and having more time together would be better. Anyways this last week both Kade and I have had interviews. I had one at Zions Bank and he had one with the site. I received an offer from the bank for a job a few days ago and gladly accepted. With Kade though, he is still in the running for the job at the site but they haven't decided yet. We keep our fingers crossed, because we would like to have a more reliable job, one that is a guaranteed 40 hours instead of the one we have where one week we work over time and the next month we get 2 days a week. SCARY. We are grateful for our blessings, we have been able to pay our bills, that's all we need.
So last Saturday I went and took the TEAS test. It is so I can get into the nursing program. Anyways when I got home my husband had torn out all of the carpet in the living room. I was very excited because it was dirty, nasty, old carpet. There is hardwood floor under it, and I was excited to see it. The next project will be fixing the walls so we can paint...then we will finish the hardwood floors. One thing at a time I guess, but it is exciting! So CHANGE is GOOD.

Life is crazy
Wow so much seems to happen between blogs! Kade and I work at the Willows, its an assisted living. He drives people to appointments and sometimes is a caregiver. I on the other hand am a graveyard med aid. Witch means I take care of people and assist them with medication. Its a job...I use to love. Lately it has quickly become a nightmare. I feel like I live in the blasted building. Kade and I don't have a single day off together. Either he is working or I am. The other problem with that is that the willows is a 45 minute drive from our house...so gas money is crazy expensive. We have also realized that the company is doing some illegal activities! They will edit our hours so we never get paid for the time we work, just the time they want to pay us for. We are trying to figure out the best way to fight our corporate giant. OH WELL!
So we have decided that we are hard on Cats. We have lost two since moving in our house in NOV. But they have been replaced. We now have two full grown cats named Boots (a Siamese) and Butterscotch (a Calico). They are a great addition to Chief and KC our dogs.
Kade and I are now dark haired beauties :D
