Tenant Update

I am sad to say, we no longer have anyone living in the basement.  Kind of strange, I know.  But the last person that we had live with us, Beau was awesome.  Kade will miss his trusty, hardworking, sidekick, and I will miss an extra helping hand.  We will also miss having little Hannah  My kids really got attached to the both of them, and they made me remember how it was to be younger and so full of life.  Anyway, they are on to their next big adventure, so I guess we will be too.  So, if you know someone who wants to live in our basement who will occasionally babysit, cook, and clean let me know...there is an open position. LOL

Beau and The Basement (LONG)

If you can recall a while back we had Brad and Nikki Black living in what is now Drake's bedroom. Well Kade started working for CMJ Sauer back in December, this job is where he cleans out and fixes up foreclosed homes. Anyway, Brad has a little brother that is waiting to go on his mission and so Kade had him start working for him. His name is Beau, he doesn't leave on a mission for a little while now, like fall, I think.

Back in January of 11, Kade made a deal with Brad that he could live in the spare bedroom, if he helped finish the basement. As long as he was helping with the basement he didn't have to pay rent....well that didn't work out so well. They lived with us for 9 months and ended up paying rent for most of the time. Long story short, instead of them ever living in the basement, they stayed in Drakes room, and our basement never got to see any new life. Its all good, when does anything go according to plan?

So....MEET Beau Black

Beau is almost 19 and was living with his parents, long story short, like most teens he no longer wanted to live there. Kade being Kade offered the same deal to Beau. Only problem is that there is no extra room for Beau to live in while working on the room in the basement. HAHA, so he has been sleeping on our couch. Even though it is a nice comfy couch, it has really motivated him to work and get his room done in the basement.

This is nice for him because he can have a free place to live (not counting labor) and I have someone motivated to work on my home! YAY. Plus Kade really doesn't mind another male in the home to help him when he needs big stuff moved around, which seems to happen a lot in our house. I feel like we are always moving a fridge or a couch or something that requires more muscles then me.

WOW, that was more explaining then I thought.

It has been a week since we cleaned out our extra stuff from the spare bedroom, and the room is DONE! OMGoodness, that is the fastest work that has been done to our house. Beau did recruit people to help him. A couple of times he had friends down in the basement mudding or painting.

All of the stuff was stored in here when we first moved like 2.5 years ago.

It was full of stuff, yes I am kind of a pack rat...trying to change that.

I only kept like 1 box of stuff from that room YAY.

After the rooms gross, and I mean water damaged, probably moldy, red carpet was removed.

As a house warming present I put it on Beau's door...yeah I think it got thrown out already haha

The bloody hand print lol, not really, that was on the wall.

There were holes in the wall and door from what looked like someone kicking them, Knife marks in the walls, and this beauty. I don't want to know what kind of crazy lived in this house before us.

I don't know if you can tell but it was a nasty green and pink. I like both of those colors, but they were really bad shades.

They pulled off that nasty wood paneling to find moldy sheet rock. We ended up having to replace sheet rock, more work was put into this room that originally planned.

Little Bit of Life

Update.

You sick of these random tidbits of information I post? I am. But it is the only way I can keep track of everything. 

Brad and Nikki moved out Friday the 19th of August. It has been a mess at our house trying to move everything around.  They have lived with us for like 8 months, it sure is a change.  

This isn't a recent picture, she wont let me take much of anything cuz she has a big ol pregger belly

So this is the room we split in half to have an upstairs laundry room.  It is small but works good for Drake. And the carpet is just a huge old rug...and the drapes and rug were free from a house Kade cleaned

Drake now has his own room. I am excited to decorate it with baby things.

The first night that he slept in his room, he woke up really scared, because he didn't know where he was, he had never been in that room alone before.  It is nice to actually be able to set up his crib and use that instead of his port-a-crib in the living room

I am now starting to really show, people are getting the nerve to ask if I know what I am having...

26ish weeks

Drake still doesn't say mama.

We gave away turbo, because we kept geting complaints from our neighbors and the animal shelter kept coming over to tell us to silent him. Because Kade and I are gone all the time we had no choice really but to find a home for him.

We did get a new dog of corse. Named Keyta, she was a big Siberian Husky/Labrador.  I say was because we only had her maybe 3 weeks and she got stolen.  Yes, she was chained up, and someone unchained her..SAD.  What is this world coming to when people steal your pets.  No more pets at the Bingham home for a little bit.

Brad and Nikki

About a month ago Kade's childhood friend Brad and his wife Nikki moved into our spare bedroom. It has been really fun and I am grateful for the built in babysitters. It has turned out perfect. Kade has been on a crazy schedule, and he always is pulling me along with him

to jobs, so it has been a very big blessing to have them here with us. We are hoping things will calm down soon, but until they do, thanks you two for putting up with so much!
