Valentines wreath

I have been staring at my livingroom shelves just wondering what I was going to decorate them with this season. It's still winter and February isn't quite here yet, but I needed something to entertain myself with. I love crafting once in a while for a healthy distraction. Normally I get together with the Binghams every six months and we do something, but it looks like I'll have to start crafting on my own now.

I have places to put things now, with my shelving and I was so happy to start.

I needed something really cheap because we are poor. I found this wreath on Pinterest and thought that was just the cheap craft that I need.

Here is where I found my Idea.

I made some changes. I used hot glue because it seemed easier. I also dyed my filters with food coloring and a little paint on the very top. I used about 120 filters and my wreath is only as big as a large pizza box (that's where I got my cardboard). 

Also I didn't want to wait a day for the filters to dry so I put them in the clothes dryer for a few minutes!

While waiting for the paint to dry enough not to get my dryer colored.

Gluing. Took a while and a few episodes of sister wives! 

Finished! I'm not sure where it will go, but the mirror will do for now.

My husband is so awesome! He held the baby while I made a mess. :)
